I have found that I am often too afraid to help someone, because subconsciously I think it means: 'take control of the situation'. The person in-need might enjoy the "free-ride" as he/she now depends on your Help, which ultimately means "the helper is in control of the situation" -- and now, I am involved, and it's not helping anymore.
The Universe is ever giving us the message of "let go" -- "Let Go and Let God" -- Release the need to control and be guided to Help others.
Many times in my massages, I tell my clients to relax; they'll keep the legs or arms in the air and tell me "I am relaxed -- I'm trying".
What are you trying? Trying to relax or trying to control the situation in which you think is relaxed?
Trying is when we allow our ego's to help, and the ego is ever side-stepping the Higher Good
I feel when we try do something, we ultimately controlling that situation and not letting go - letting God.
I want to be guided to help others -- in this way, I am doing that which serves my higher self and of all those involved-- and not try to help them.
